Self-care is really important to practice, especially for your mental health. There are so many ways to practice self-care and look after your mind, it's about knowing what works for you! Here are 50 ways you can practice self-care in just 15 minutes! I wanted to show you that you don't need a lot of time to look after yourself. Everyone can find 15 minutes to take a breather and do something relaxing!

The image shows a pink leopard print gift box with lots of pamper treats inside. There is 2 bath bombs, wax melts, a mug, champagne, galaxy chocolate, cadbury's fingers and a wax burner in the box. It's sitting on a light brown wooden table.

It can be hard to make time for yourself, especially when there seems to be a never-ending list of things to do. There isn't always time to take a shopping or spa trip. With lockdown, a lot of things still haven't reopened. Everyone can spare 15 minutes a day to practice self-care. All of these things can be done in 15 minutes or less and take little to no effort! Anaphase has kindly sent me one of their pamper packages to make self-care just that bit easier. It includes all of the basics for looking after yourself and having an at-home spa day! Some of these ideas will use the treats they have sent me!

What Is Self Care?

Self-care can mean a lot of things, and it can be different for everyone. Self-care is the practice of looking after one's mind to improve mental health. It is where you take an active role in protecting your wellbeing, and there are several ways you can do this. It is where you look after yourself both physically and mentally, forming healthy habits. There are lots of definitions of what self-care is, but it can mean different things to different people.

Why Should Your Practice Self-Care?

Self-care looks after your mind and your body, so if that isn't a good enough reason, I don't know what is! If that doesn't convince you, here are some other reasons you should practice self-care:

  • It allows you to relax when times are stressful
  • You learn to enjoy and appreciate the little things more
  • You learn more about yourself and your body
  • It allows you to have some fun
  • You can learn a new hobby or skill
  • It takes care of your mental health & wellbeing
  • You become more in sync with yourself

What's In The Box!?

As I mentioned before, Anaphase has kindly given me a goodie box to try out! The gift box is valued at £25 and was originally their mother's day box. It would make an amazing gift idea, one that any girl would love to receive. My box included:

  • 3 scented wax melts
  • A wax melt burner
  • 2 gorgeous bath bombs
  • A bottle of champagne
  • Champagne "pop-a-balls"
  • A cute coffee mug
  • A box of Cadbury chocolate fingers
  • A bar of galaxy chocolate

I loved this gift box. It came in a pink and black leopard print box which I can reuse later as storage. I thought this was a fun way to give the gift. I felt that £25 was reasonable for what you get inside the box. The bath bombs alone are £6! I loved the scent of them, they made my skin feel really smooth. I have very sensitive skin and find it hard to bathe in bath bombs, but these bath bombs didn't irritate my skin at all. They had very fragrant scents which filled the room.

I thought that the chocolate and bubbly was a really fun addition - perfect for a self-care night! I enjoyed having a little feast on my pamper night! I haven't yet tried the pop-a-balls, but they look intriguing! The mug is the perfect size for a hot chocolate, and I thought it was a really sweet token. The wax burner was gorgeous, and I loved all 3 scents I was given. My favourite was the mulled pear and cranberry one, which smelt amazing!

For £25, I thought this gift box was a really nice treat to buy yourself. It's an affordable way to have everything you need for a self-care pamper night, and you can always add little things to it! It would also be a really nice gift for a friend in need of some TLC.

  29. This looks great! I think many people have a habit of seeing self care as some elaborate and complicated thing when really it can be so simple - part of your day to day activities! Personally, my favourite self-care is my morning cup of tea or coffee outside on the back deck in the sun. It's only 20 min of my day, but it's MY 20 min.
