AD - This post is sponsored, but all opinions are my own

For some, it may be too early to start thinking about Christmas gifts. I love Christmas, so I start planning in early September! If you know a pet lover, this gift guide is the perfect place to find something they'll love! From pillows to prints, there are so many personalised pet gifts out there, it can be hard to know what to pick. In my house, we've got mugs pillows and more! Here are some of my favourite pet-related gift ideas!

Custom Pet Portrait

Vectorpets.com creates gorgeous custom pet portraits for you to gift to a pet lover. From just £8, you can get a pet print that will look amazing on any wall. There are lots of different styles and poses to choose from, so whoever you're gifting it to, they'll love it! From a headshot to a full-body portrait, Vector Pets have illustrations that all pet lovers will want to showcase. I really like how realistic the illustrations are and how they capture your pet's likeness. These portraits would make for the perfect Christmas present, especially if the receiver has recently lost their pet. When we lost our pet, the first thing we did was frame out favourite memories. It's a sweet and sentimental gift idea that any pet lover will adore this Christmas!

Pet Pamper Hamper

A pamper hamper is a sweet way to gift your loved one and their pet this Christmas. You can fill it with dog toys, pupcakes, Christmas cookies and even a pet illustration for the wall. I love gifting and receiving handmade hampers because you can customise it easily. If you're stuck for ideas, here are some fun things you can add to your hamper!

  • Dog toys
  • Doy accessories - collars, leads, water bowls etc.
  • Pupcakes and human cakes
  • Homemade biscuits in the shape of bones
  • Pet portraits, canvases and frames photos
  • A pet-related quote plaque
  • Plates and mugs with their pet's paw prints on
  • Cosy coats or socks so they don't get cold

Personalised Pet Pillow

When my pet passed away, my siblings got small cushions with Ziggy's face on it. It was sweet, and it meant they could cuddle with him at night. It was comforting to have the pillows around the house. Even if your recipient hasn't lost a pet, a cushion would make a great gift idea. You can get small pillows or even large cushion covers for your bedspread. If you're loved one already has too many pillows, you can get them a cosy photo blanket instead! Photo gifts always make sentimental gifts, no matter how they're given.

Pup Selfie Ball

Many pet owners struggle to get the perfect picture, especially when the pet is distracted by more interesting things! You can get a selfie-stick style clip that attaches to your phone and hold a tennis ball. This ingenious idea will make any pet look photogenic, and every owner will be delighted to finally get the perfect shot of their beloved pet! You can find these selfie balls on Amazon or from pets stores! I think this would be a fun gift idea for any owner who likes to take pictures!

Matching Friendship Bracelets

Owners can become very attached to their pets. Did you know, you can buy a friendship bracelet with matching collar? If your recipient loves their pet, you can buy them a matching friendship set. It's a sentimental gift that would be appreciated by any dog lover. There are lots of different styles and colours to choose from. If they don't need a new collar or bracelet, you could always get them matching charms. Dog bones with pet's names on would make a sweet gift. The dog could have a matching one too!

Travel-Friendly Water Bowl

For the pet lover who likes to travel, you can gift them a pet travelling kit! There are lots of pop up water bowls that you can purchase for pets. They are small and compact, making them a must-have for walks and long journeys. Pop up water bowls would be great for a pet owner as they can be used all year round. They're also better for the environment than water bottles! Other travel-friendly gizmos you can gift are pet trackers (in case they run off), paw cleaners and seat covers for pets who like to malt. Handy gifts make for the best Christmas presents because they'll be used and appreciated more!

Wipe Your Paws Welcome Mat

If you're gifting someone who loves home décor, why not get them a new doormat for Christmas! There are lots of different styles which you could purchase. I've seen ones with "wipe your paws" on, while others have a simple dog bone or paw print on. Depending on their preferences, you can even get a cat, cow and sheep shaped doormats! It's not the most exciting gift idea, but everyone needs a doormat. An animal-themed one is a little bit more exciting than a rectangle!

Use Paw Prints To Decorate

Before you gift your items this Christmas, make sure you wrap it in a pet-friendly way! Wrap your give in brown paper and get your pet's painted paws to walk over it. It's a personalised way to gift a pet lover. If you don't want to paint their paws or have them walk in mud, you can always get personalised wrapping paper. There are lots of small businesses who design wrapping paper with your pet's face on! You can create photo collages, have the paper sent to your door and wrap your gifts up with wrapping paper your recipient will adore!

Christmas is the time for giving, and these gift ideas are the perfect way to show the pet lover in your life that you're thinking of them. There are lots of other amazing gifts out there, you just need to find the right one for your person! For some, it may be too early to think about Christmas, but I don't think too early exists! Do you know a pet lover who would love these gifts? What personalised gift ideas have you found? I'd love to see what pet-themed presents you've found this year!

  2. These are some great options. I always start thinking about Christmas at the time too. I like to order a mini dog hamper from Top Collar dog treats and you can even add a photo of your pet to the packaging with a personalised message.

  8. These are great gift ideas for pets and pet owners. I love the idea of a pet pamper hamper as it's an excellent way to spoil the pet and owner in one gift. I should make one of those for a pet-loving friend this Christmas. Travel-friendly bowls are perfect. We keep one in our vehicle at all times, that way we always know our dog will be able to have a drink without having the make sure we pack a big bowl that will take up lots of space.

  9. You've got some great suggestions here. I love anything that represents our pets - they are like our children and we adore them SO much! We have a couple different travel bowls that we've tried, each with their pros and cons. One piece of advice that I have for anyone shopping is to find one that's easily cleaned! We had one that had small grooves in the sides and it was IMPOSSIBLE to get everything out of them lol
