I've always been a fan of cookie dough. I love baking and secretly breaking off a chunk before baking the rest of the dough! I have kindly been sent 4 delicious cookie dough pots from Cheeky Dough to try! Whether you love chocolate chunk or salted caramel, there is a cookie dough for you! The 4 flavours I was sent were Salted Caramel & Honeycomb, Birthday Cake, Triple Chocolate and White Chocolate Chip! I thought it would also be fun to have a go at making my own cookie dough! Let's try the dough!

As I mentioned, I received 4 delicious flavours. You can purchase large 12-ounce tubs for £16 each or opt for the mix & match doughs where you get 4 4-ounce tubs at £19.99. I received the mix & match option as it allowed me to try more flavours. I also though the sizes were reasonable, especially as anything bigger and I would have felt sick eating the cookie dough! The small tubs were the perfect portion size and meant you didn't need to share! For hardcore cookie dough lovers, you can purchase a subscription! Every 3 months you're sent 4 lots of the 16-ounce tubs to gorge on for the price of £59.99 and free shipping.

Salted Caramel & Honeycomb Cookie Dough

I am a big fan of salted caramel flavoured treats. I was excited to try this flavour the most. This cookie dough has a salted caramel flavoured dough muddled with honeycomb pieces. Although it wasn't what I had expected, it was enjoyable. I was disappointed with the flavour. I expected a stronger hint of salted caramel, but it was overpowered by the sweetness of the dough itself. There also wasn't a lot of honeycomb to munch on. I expected a crunchy cookie dough, but I didn't get the experience I was hoping for. The flavour wasn't too strong, so it meant that it wasn't sickly cookie dough. There was a light caramel taste, but I think it would have been nicer if there was runny salted caramel swirled through the dough. It was still an enjoyable flavour, but not as caramel flavoured as you'd think.

White Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

With all the unique flavours I chose, I thought it was right to include a classic flavour to try. White chocolate chip stood out to me the most because I love white chocolate and you can't beat the creaminess of a white chocolate chip cookie! There was a decent amount of white chocolate chunks in the cookie dough, and the flavours were perfectly balanced. I like the hint of vanilla you get when you have this dough. The white chocolate chunks were of good quality. Sometimes white chocolate can taste almost "fake" when it's not made with quality ingredients. That wasn't the case with this delicious dough! I liked the creamy, milky taste of them! I thought that the dough tasted better once you'd left it out the fridge for 15 minutes. There's dairy in the cookie dough which solidifies in the fridge. If you leave it out for a little bit, it'll get softer, making it easier to eat. I also thought it tasted a bit better when it was soft!

Birthday Cake Cookie Dough

Birthday cake flavoured anything, is a fun and delicious was to customise your treats. Filled with sprinkles and white chocolate chips, this vanilla cookie dough ticks all the right boxes. If you're looking for a sweet, crunchy, creamy dessert, you'll love this cookie dough. There was a generous amount of sprinkles in the dough which added a nice crunch to the smooth dough. The chocolate chunks were creamy and broke up the sweetness of the vanilla, so it wasn't too sickly. There was still a light vanilla taste, which was perfectly balanced with the rest of the ingredients. I liked this cookie dough a lot; it's perfect for a party and would even taste great as a baked cookie. It was a tastier cookie dough than the white chocolate version as it had the addition of the sprinkles. Strangely, sprinkles can make all the difference!

Triple chocolate Cookie Dough

Triple chocolate was my favourite out of all of the flavours. Described as "heavenly chocolate cookie dough with Belgian milk chocolate chips and white chocolate chunks", this dough was a hit with my family. I really liked it as it was surprisingly not as rich as the vanilla based ones. I loved this flavour as the taste and texture were similar to a chocolate cake or brownie mix. The cookie dough was quite fudgy, which made it the perfect treat. If I could improve anything, I would have included more chocolate chunks as I didn't get many. Overall, the cookie dough was really delicious.

Salted Caramel & Honeycomb Cookie Dough Recipe

I thought I'd recreate the salted caramel cookie dough to see if it would taste better and suit my tastes more! Let me know if you try this recipe and how it turned out for you! I really liked this easy recipe, but it may not be for everyone.

You Will Need:

  • 100g Softened Butter
  • 170g Brown Sugar
  • 140g Plain Flour
  • A Pinch of Salt
  • 1 tbsp Tesco Salted Caramel Sauce
  • 1 Crunchie Bar

  1. Mix the butter, sugar and flour in a bowl together. It should be a basic dough
  2. If your mixture is like breadcrumbs, add a splash of milk until it forms more of a solid dough. You don't want it to be too wet as the sauce makes it really sticky
  3. Crush the crunchie into pieces and add to the mixture
  4. Swirl in the salted caramel sauce. You could also mix the sauce in completely to create the salted caramel dough that Cheeky Dough made
  5. Enjoy your cookie dough! You may want to add more crunchie or salted caramel to suit your preferences

Cheeky Dough was really delicious. I've seen it on social media a lot, and I am grateful that I've been given the opportunity to try the trend! I thought the flavours were enjoyable, despite my issue with the salted caramel & honeycomb dough. The price was reasonable compared to other cookie dough competitors. Have you ever tried edible cookie dough? Have you seen Cheeky Dough on Instagram? Let me know what your thoughts are on the cookie dough trend!

  8. I'm so jealous! We don't have stuff like this in South Africa. Here you have to make the stuff yourself, or buy the premixed flour etc, and then add in the fluids. Anyway, I'm happy you can enjoy it though :)
