Easy Ways To Make Money Online

Tuesday, June 23, 2020

We could all do with a bit of extra cash in our pockets. Many of us won't get the opportunity to be working in our dream job with our dream wage. We have to make do with the money we earn each month, but sometimes it's not enough for the things we want and need. In the age of technology, there are so many ways that we can make money online. These ways are legit, and I use them myself to top up my monthly salary. Here are some of my favourite ways of making money online!

How To Make Money Online

Making money online is something I never thought I could do. When I was younger, I would always look up ways to make money as a teenager. YouTube came up a lot, but it's something that I never had the confidence or equipment to do. There were also lots of things like dog walking and landscaping. All the suggestions were things that people could do, but I live in a small town where that isn't possible. For many other people, I think that is the same case! So, I turned to the internet to see if I could make some money.

I started with online surveys and selling things online, but I have found some more unique ideas too! I have tried and tested all of these methods, so I know that they are legit and work. Sometimes there are ways to make money online that seem like a scam, and they most likely are. Some are easier to do than others, so you have to find what works for you in the time that you have!

Online Surveys

If you have some time in the evening, paid surveys are a great way to get some extra money on the side. Many survey sites require you to fill in a survey about yourself to start with so that they can send you appropriate surveys. Once you're in, the surveys will typically take around 5-30 minutes, and you'll be paid accordingly. These sites work by sending you market research surveys to fill in. You'll need to answer accurately, as these studies will be used for product research. It's unfair to make up answers, so you need to be willing to give certain personal information such as age range and gender.

Once you have been given a survey to fill in, you'll be rewarded with credit after completion. Some surveys need you to listen or watch videos. They will pay you a small amount per survey, and it all goes into a pot. Once you hit a threshold, you have the chance to redeem the credit as a bank transfer, charity donation or gift card, depending on what site you use. I have made £100's from survey sites, and have even gifted the gift cards as presents! Here are some of my favourite survey sites:

  • Valued Opinions
  • I-Say (IPSOS)
  • Opinion Outpost
  • Panelbase
  • Pinecone Research
  • YouGov

Survey sites are great, and you're helping brands do their market research. You may not be accepted into every survey, so it may take a while for you to get the surveys you qualify for. It's worth signing up for a few sites and working through as many surveys as possible. You can easily make an extra £10 a week through surveys, which adds up if you put all the gift cards to one side. I'd recommend withdrawing your money as soon as you reach the threshold. You don't want to lose the credit if the site went down!

Affiliate Marketing

This is one of the easiest ways to make some cash online, especially if you have a platform to promote your links. Affiliate marketing is where you have a special link, and if someone makes a purchase through that link, you'll get some commission for it. It doesn't cost the buyer anything extra, but it means you'll get around 10% commission per sale! Affiliate marketing can be a passive income if you schedule the links ahead of time.

There are lots of ways to become an affiliate for brands. Amazon affiliates is a great website for starting out. You can also sell products on behalf of businesses like Avon or The Body Shop to get a commission. If you look at a brand's website, you may have the option to be an affiliate for them by signing up with them! Pick brands you love and are passionate about. There is no point in promoting a product you don't believe in!

Selling Second-hand Items

Everyone has junk lying around their house that they don't need or use anymore. You can sell those items such as books, clothing, games etc. online, for a reasonable amount of money. You'd be surprised at what people are willing to pay for an item! It means you can declutter your house, make some money and reduce the amount you put into landfill! Some good sites to sell your items on are eBay, Depop & Shpock.

I have a whole blog post on eBay, how to sell on there & get the most for your items! It is a useful post and is full of tips and tricks. I can easily make an extra £200-500 a month by selling clothes alone!

Selling A Product

If you have a skill, use that to your advantage and make some money! You could sell a service such as consultations, a taught course or even make someone a resume. You can also sell physical products such as a piece of artwork, ebooks, templates, the list goes on! Find something you're good at, and turn it into a profitable business that you can do on the side. There are lots of websites you can sell your services or products on, such as Etsy or Gumroad. Here is a list of products/services that you can sell online:

  • Sell an eBook or guide
  • Artwork
  • Stationary, cards & pins
  • Candles
  • Accessories
  • Resin art or home decor
  • Product Bundles
  • Templates for blogs or pins
  • T-shirts & apparel

Cashback Apps

Cashback apps require you to spend some money before making money. I wanted to include cashback apps because you can make money off of purchases that you would have made anyway. Cashback apps give you money back on purchases you make online. For example, if you spend £100 on a hotel, a cashback app may give you back 3.5% of your purchase. It may not seem like a lot, but it is money you wouldn't have had before, and it will build up over time. These apps show you just how much you're spending online! There are different cash back apps, including ones that can be used for shopping, clothing, hotels and more! Some cashback sites/apps I would recommend are:

  • Topcashback
  • Shopmium
  • Quidco
  • Shopitize
  • Checkout Smart

Blogging/Freelancing

One of my favourite ways of making money online is through freelancing. Freelancing lets you pick up jobs that need completing ASAP. This will usually include one-off jobs, answering phone calls, content creation, website building, translating etc. Freelancing jobs can be helpful if you need someone of work to tie you over until payday. Blogging can also be used to make money online through sponsored posts, advertising and affiliate links. It enables you to use your own platform to promote products and tie a lot of the things on this list together! You may need to have a media kit before you apply, but I have a killer How To Guide, so you'll be able to make the best media kit around!

Participate In Market Research

Market research campaigns are where you test a product or fill in a survey to help a business figure out where to go with their product. You can do all sorts of different types of market research. Some will have you test a website, while others may want you to fill in a form about your likes. You may even need to answer the phone for some of the studies. Some of the best market research websites include Research Opinions and People for Research. The studies usually don't take longer than 1-2 hours, but it can vary.

Over the summer, I made £175 from just one market research campaign! It was one where I was able to test out some new apps.  Most market research opportunities will give you £40-60 for your time and effort, but you could expect more depending on the task. Make sure you're honest when filling in the application forms. These studies help shape businesses and products. You don't want to be giving false information. You may also be caught if your study required a zoom or phone call.

Get Paid To Search Online

Did you know you can get paid to search online? There is a website called Qmee which allows you to add an extension onto your browser. Qmee not only lets you take surveys, but you get paid to make searches. The website doesn't pay you a lot for searches, but over time it adds up. You get paid to click on a link per search you make. It is a really easy way to make some quick money, especially if you browse online retailers a lot. Within 2 minutes of signing up and adding the extension, I had already made £1. There is no minimum cash out of Qmee, and you can claim your money in the form of Paypal credit, a gift card or donate it to charity. Qmee has lots of great opportunities to increase the amount of your wallet, so I would recommend using this site to make some money!

I hope this list helps you to make some extra money. These are really easy to do from home, and there are so many other methods of making money online. Do you use one of these methods to make money? Let me know what your favourite method is and how you like to make some extra cash before payday!

  15. Here's the deal. To succeed online and make your business profitable, there is a lot that you should learn. It's not a walk in the park like what a lot of people say. Online marketing covers a wide range of topics that you need to be acquainted with, For Example: Product Creation, Email Marketing, Social Media Marketing etc., so to educate yourself on various relevant marketing, my mentor Kevin Fahey brings you the IM Checklist which you can follow to create lead magnets and maximize your profits while guiding you step by step on a very detailed way. Also, you can even give these checklists to your outsourced contractors for better results.

You can check it out here: Checklist.theimjedi.info

The IM Checklist lets you save time from grueling research with a 5 Day Trial for only $3. It walks you through what needs to be done rather than trying to guess what to do. The IM Checklist program comes at a very meager price of $17/ month after trial. Now, if you come to think about it this price of $17/ month is a really cheap price provided that the IM Checklists program are actually providing the users with so many valuable guidelines and suggestions to help them become really successful internet marketers and/ or to improve their non-effective marketing strategies so that they can earn the maximum profits.

Plus, the user is also entitled to 20 hours of free training or a trial pack before actually starting to use this program. This will ensure that the concerned and potential user is fully qualified to generate the maximum income by internet marketing strategies once he/ she starts using these checklists.
