12 Virtual Experiences & Tours You Need To Try!

Did you know you can take virtual tours of some of your favourite places and museums? Visit some of the worlds most amazing tourist destinations, all from the comfort of your own home! Here is a list of some of my favourites.


Charles Dickens Museum, London

This interactive tour allows you to explore multiple floors of the Charles Dickens Museum. With over 100,000 items to explore, there is something for everyone on this virtual tour! Visit the museum here.

Natural History Museum, London

Google offers an amazing experience of the Natural History Museum. Not only do they offer online exhibits, but there is a whole experience, best listened to with headphones to explore!

Smithsonian Natural History Museum

This tour is breathtaking. You can explore each exhibit and manoeuvre around the museum freely. It is an amazing virtual experience and is one of the best virtual tours I have used so far!

Vatican Museums, Italy

Go on a 360-degree tour of Italy's most notorious museums. The images for these tours are stunning, and the virtual experience is one not to miss. There is a wide range of museums and galleries to explore, all in 3D!


Blarney Castle, Ireland

Don't forget castles and gardens when going on your virtual tours! Explore Blarney Castle room by room with high-quality images. This Irish tourist hotspot is a wonderful place to look around!

Palace of Versailles, France

Feel like a royal with this extraordinary palace tour. The tour allows you to connect with a VR experience, have an access all areas tour of the court and get up close with the stunning decor! 

San Diego Zoo, USA

If you are a fan of animal, San Diego Zoo lets you watch live animal cams and videos. There is a range of animals to watch, including koalas, pandas and elephants!

Houston Zoo, USA

The Dubai Aquarium, U.A.E

Flamingo Land, UK

Looking for something more thrilling? Flamingo Land in North Yorkshire is offering free virtual theme park tours! There are even information points to tell you more about each location too!

  2. As an English student I feel like I should be doing the Charles Dickens tour but the flamingo one sounds so cool and I've also wanted to visit Versailles too!

  5. Omg this is such a cool post, so, so useful thank you! I've been so bored and am always looking for something new to do so I'll be going through everything on the list! I'm especially intrigued by the museum ones in Italy (bet they're beautiful!) and the zoo ones...how cool is that!!! Xxx
